The EU-Kosovo Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC) held its eighth meeting in Strasbourg, on 9-10 March 2022, under the co-chairmanship of Mr Romeo FRANZ, Chair of the European Parliament Delegation, and Ms Mimoza KUSARI-LILA, Chair of the Assembly of the Kosovo delegation. It held an exchange of views on the state of play of EU-Kosovo relations with:
- H.E. Besnik BISLIMI, First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue, on behalf of the Government of Kosovo
- Mr Vassilis MARAGOS, Head of Unit for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo, on behalf of the Commission
- Ms Elsa FENET, Head of the Western Balkans Division, on behalf of the European External Action Service
The Committee addressed the following subjects:
- One year after the elections - progress on EU integration related reforms, including the situation of minorities;
- The EU-facilitated Dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade - the way forward;
- The energy crisis and its impact on post-pandemic recovery;
- The French EU Presidency, enlargement policy and opportunities for Kosovo;
- European Year of Youth 2022 and the Conference on the Future of Europe: a voice for Kosovo?
